Thursday isn’t really Friday. But for me, it kind of is. I’m traveling to Chicago tomorrow for work. Being out of the office makes it seem like Friday. Right? (Just go with it).
I’m pretty excited about cooler temperatures; it’s forecasted to be in the 40’s with only a small chance of rain. Just thinking about it makes me want Starbucks.
This week, despite being short, has been busy with preparations for my trip. I’m moving into a new-ish role at work and it’s all very exciting. It means I need to work on my presentation skillz and that is an ongoing process. I used to really hate the sound of my voice but I spent a good portion of this week recording training videos for the program I operate and I’m happy to report my voice isn’t that bad.
On top of being busy with work related things, I’ve also been missing my sisters more than usual. I’m lucky to be close to my parents, my father-in-law and my brother-in-law; but nothing can really replace sister time. I’m flying to New York in two weeks to spend time with both of my sisters, my best friends from college and medical school and my family. I’m so excited to meet the three new babies that were born since I last saw my girlfriends.
OH and the time change is really messing up my evenings. It was all fun and games on Sunday when I had an extra hour to dilly dally but getting home in the dark is so hard. Plus my dogs want their dinner an hour earlier than usual (which is actually the correct time pre-DS). Dogs are so smart.
I hope your Thursday feels like a Friday. Catch up with me while I’m in Chicago on Instagram.
Do you eat dinner an hour earlier than you used to? How are you dealing with daylight savings?
