Happy Monday! How was your weekend?
My weekend was so, so good. I spent Saturday morning brunching and enjoying the company of best girlfriends. Saturday night I got to enjoy a flight of beers and dinner with my favorite guy. And Sunday, WE BOUGHT A COUCH!
The couch hunt has been ongoing since May, when Matt and I decided we need to updated our hand me down sofa. While I love the comfort of my current sofa, it really isn’t maximizing the space in our living room (plus the print on it is truly hideous). When we have company the problem with seating is very obvious. With my sister living nearby and football season right around the corner we were anxious to find something we would love and would improve our seating situation. I’m so happy that we finally did!
It’s funny how grown up life means getting excited about a couch. It used to be shoes. Or an outfit. Now it’s organic produce and a couch. I’m okay with that.
In addition to couch hunting and brunching, we also stopped into Costco and picked up a few things. The best find? A flat of peaches for $7.99! I have been in love with the peaches we’ve been getting this season so I knew I would be able to demolish the flat before the peaches spoil.
There are so many fun things one can do with fresh peaches. One of my favorite ways to eat them is grilled. When a peach is not quite ripe, grilling it brings out a natural sweetness and caramelizes the peach.
