We had a rainy, dreary Saturday in the Sunshine State, which naturally meant it was time to stock up at Costco. Our last trip was weeks ago – crazy, I know! I attribute that to spending weekends vacationing and enjoying the beach vs. doing adult things like grocery shopping. I have recently become obsessed with adding almond butter to my smoothies, so I would say this was the driving force behind the trip. We ended up with so many goodies!
1. Kirkland Almond Butter
As I mentioned, my sole motivation for going out in the rain after a trip to the dentist (ouch!) was almond butter. I spent $12 at Publix on 16oz of Justin’s Almond butter (another ouch!) but I really, really needed it for my smoothies. I justified it by telling myself that health is an investment (almond butter and health might be a stretch). I was so excited to see that Costco had almond butter and that it wasn’t the brand that I dislike. I picked up two containers and I’m very pleased with the taste/quality/price point.
2. Organic Coconut Milk
I’m normally an almond milk buyer but lately I’ve switched it up with coconut milk. We weren’t entirely sure that that there was a benefit to buying six quarts at Costco vs. 3 half gallons at Publix. The deal was sealed because the Costco version was organic and we could stock up on shelf stable milk vs. running out every few days.
