Visiting a new city is always so much fun. I like to look for unique dining options; especially those with plentiful vegan/vegetarian options. Local fare trumps all else, because I like to enjoy the cuisine of the destination. I think one of the hardest parts of adopting a healthy lifestyle is figuring out how it can fit into your current lifestyle. Do you really have to change all of your habits? Usually, yes. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time in your city.
It’s my goal to share the places that I’ve come to love in Orlando; and the places that I frequent myself. Whether is a delicious cup of ethically sourced coffee or an eco-friendly salon – it’s nice to know where to find these things. I feel like I know this city pretty well, but I’m discovering new and interesting places all the time.
The topics will vary: food, beauty, activities etc. This week I’m starting with my favorite topic: Food. Orlando has some pretty awesome food venues, outside of the expected vacation destination eats. It’s my goal to share that world with you through this Healthy Living Guide.
In recent years, I’ve been excited to see the growth of independent businesses, many of them focused on local suppliers, earth friendly foods and superb vegan/vegetarian options.
