Last week I kind of fell off the face of the earth. It was a combination of midweek stomach flu/food poisoning and sheer exhaustion.
I think that being stomach sick is the worst, worst thing ever. I’m so happy to finally be back to feeling like myself again.
And now, just like that it’s Christmas. Can you believe it?
That’s Matt and I at the Christmas tree in downtown Orlando. We took a walk with my sister, uncle and mom two weekends ago. We haven’t taken pictures in front of the tree since I was a kid and I enjoyed revisiting it with my family. Downtown Orlando did an awesome job with the lights!
Yesterday we celebrated Christmas with Matt’s dad, his brother and his brother’s girlfriend. Christmas for us was football (go Lions!), Thai food and coffee/cocoa. It was the perfect little celebration.
On Wednesday, we’re going to celebrate Christmas with my parents. That will include Indian food from our favorite restaurant, presents and quality time with the puppies. After that, we’ll head to the airport for our flight to Michigan and we’ll wake up on Christmas morning with Matt’s mom, grandma and his sisters. I’m looking forward to Christmas morning coffee, a fire and lots of laughs as we celebrate my MIL’s birthday AND Christmas on the same day.
It’s a triple Christmas for the Gusmano family which leaves me feeling very blessed.
How are you celebrating the holidays this year? Are you traveling or sticking close to home?
